ENG: The first personal photo exhibition by Mariinsky's ballet Principal dancer Xander Parish has opened in Arts Square Gallery, Saint Petersburg, Russia. Supported by Grishko Ltd., FotoOne, Simple Wine and Aranchino restaurant Xander Parish and Boris Zhurilov organized an exhibition which attracts audience by the opprtunity to see the current history of Mariinsky ballet. The theatre backstage actions, emotions, atmosphere catched by the person fully involved in process, showing the hard but beautiful life of one of the best ballets in the world. Being the member of the company, Xander is not just a photographer, he can shoot artistic people in their "natural habitat" without artificial posing or any incovenience.
Mostly the photos are black and white and shoot by a film camera and we can see the individual style of Xander Parish as a photographer. Now his work is quite famous and recognizable in ballet world and worth to look at for all, who are interested in ballet, theatre and art of photography.

РУС: В Arts Square Gallery в Санкт-Петербурге открылась первая персональная выставка премьера балета Мариинского театра Ксандера Париша. При поддержке Grishko Ltd., FotoOne, Simple Wine и ресторана Aranchino, Ксандер Париш и Борис Журилов организовали выставку, дающую публике возможность увидеть современную историю Мариинского балета. Действия, эмоции, атмосфера этих закулисных снимков запечатлены человеком, полностью вовлеченным в процесс, и демонстрируют тяжелую, но очень красивую жизнь одной из лучших трупп в мире. Будучи танцовщиком Мариинского, Ксандер — не только фотограф, он имеет возможность снимать артистов в естественной среде без "позирования" и неудобств.

Большинство фотографий черно-белые и сняты на пленку, на них мы можем видеть индивидуальный стиль Ксандера Париша как фотохудожника. Уже сейчас его работы известны и узнаваемы в балетном мире, и их стоит увидеть всем, кто интересуется балетом, театром и фотографией.
Выставка проходит с 11 по 31 марта в Art Square Gallery, ул. Итальянская, д. 5.
